Elliot J. Brahms is the pseudonym of a man who has rebuilt himself after a series of personal processes that strongly marked him and liberated him after so many years of battles won and lost, making him self-renounce that name and man that he once was.

About the Author...

"The pieces that make up my existence don't seem to fit together well. But my experiences have taught me that there are no coincidences in life. I've learned that we don't lose anything; we free ourselves from them."

Elliot, simply J., a fragment of his past. Brahms, the broken and assembled pieces. He, a creator of small worlds (dioramas), to free himself. A writer by vocation. Passionate about geography, cats, and literature. Solitary by choice, creative by madness. Father of three kitties, Koko, Candy, and Mizzy. Koko is his soulmate and his inspiration to create, in the future or as a posthumous dream, a shelter for stray cats. Reserved and contemplative. His interests include universal and political philosophy, semiotics, religious syncretism, theology, universal history, deism, anthropology, Gothic, Victorian, and European religious architecture, art, opera, human motivation, and psychology. He loves autumn, pumpkins, trees (particularly maples), nature, towns, and valleys. He values tranquility and silence.

“My dream is to travel, to visit all those places that evoke the past, because between the lines of time and those corners that await in silence, there are so many stories, lived, forgotten, and ready to be rediscovered in my creative mind. A quiet corner, in the city, between silent lips and a lost gaze, are sometimes the accomplices of the most beautiful stories. Before I leave, I want to travel and write those stories. To leave a legacy, in my books and songs.”

Elliot is currently continuing his battle with skin cancer, along with other complications stemming from it. As a man of faith, he focuses on writing and working on this project that keeps him up every day, determined not to give up.
