A.I. Musical Experience

    I know, it sounds strange, strange, ridiculous maybe, but if movie stories have their own Soundtrack, why not books that are also stories? Maybe it isn’t common, or I don’t know if there are books that already have their Soundtrack (of course, some before being movies or series), but I imagine that people like me, that when we have the opportunity to write, it is to write books, not songs; although in my defense I must confess that at some time I wrote my lyrics for songs, which were not remotely possible to become songs, because I didn’t have that gift, to write music, you know, that of reading staves, musical notes, etc.. For a while in my youth, I took guitar lessons in cultural centers, and later violin lessons, ending years later with a frustration of playing only maracas. Well, at least I tried. But thanks to technology, and especially Artificial Intelligence, I have been able to fulfill that dream. I know that many will not agree with this tool to create, and I agree that there is nothing like the innate talent with which one is born, or at least to have the qualities to study and learn music, is admirable. And therefore, to be able to compose organic music. Personally, as I said at the beginning of this book, the lyrics are 100% of my own creation, both in Spanish and English (although in the latter language I had to help myself a little just to find the rhyme frames), in order to keep the essence of my original lyrics, since it is my native language. In fact, it was a very interesting process to learn, at least the basics, such as tempos, stems, harmonies, musical genres, rhythms, melodies, even to be able to work with the AI itself, since it is not enough to write a prompt and boom, and the song is ready, at least for me it was not like that. Perhaps many who have used this technology, have realized that when you don’t know how to master at least enough to create something acceptable, the music and / or songs are very generic, in other words very similar, or very X. Certainly the lyrics, influence a lot that the AI, can also have something more educated and defined to be able to square with the sounds and rhythms, working continuously in a series of trial and error, to be able to achieve what in creativity intuited to be able to do in reality. This experience made me learn, experiment and above all, enjoy every moment of musical creation. I am still a neophyte in this art, but believe me I was surprised by my results, even genres that I don't often listen to, I loved them.

    To tell you now more about the process of my creation of lyrics, as I mentioned, I have more experience in this area, yet I had to focus on writing in rhyme, since I usually did it in prose; and to be able to tell and/or reflect, depending on the song, the story or the essence of the character, as well as their personal context, so it was also a challenge. Opening up the emotional part of them and being able to translate it into a musical lyric isn’t as easy as it seems. I didn’t think to take a considerable time in the whole process of the Soundtrack, but as I repeat, it was an experience that I would repeat again. Regardless of the fact that the songs were being created for the book, this experience also helped me a lot in my health process, because creativity is like that strength that makes me get up and be active, something that my body lacks because of my condition, and sometimes it was very frustrating, that my mind was at 100 processing ideas, and my body was not in tune with it. But well, I get it and rest when it's really necessary.

    About the songs that I decided to officially add to the soundtrack, it is a diversity of genres, as well as lyrics. Ballads, electronic, pop, house, dance, urban, among others (even reggaeton), a genre that I didn’t think to use, but I loved how it turned out.
